Prospective Schools and Students
CT Public High Schools and their students who reside in CT are eligible to request an online course via the guidance counselor at the school in which they are enrolled. School Administrators must use the same discretion in determining the appropriateness of an online course as they would any face to face course for each student on an individualized basis. Additionally, school district staff will determine the eligibility for credit of any online course, and can choose not to offer any course determined not creditworthy within their district. Districts, with their school’s staff, will also determine their ability to support the efforts of the online student, and consequently their ability to offer any online course. Admitted students are expected to be self-motivated, possess good communication and writing skills, demonstrate independent learning ability, have good time management skills and have access to a computer with an Internet connection.
